About the Job

As the domain expert for SecureCo’s Payments products you own the product design and delivery of Payments products from end to end. You will own the product roadmap, taking input from customers, changes in the market, and SecureCo’s strategic direction. Able to maintain this roadmap as a practical, deliverable rollout plan for the product, you will lead the prioritisation of the product backlog and work with the technology team to deliver.

Actively listening to customers, understanding their business needs while quickly and easily translating these into solutions for the customer, you then translate these into technology requirements across the SecureCo teams.

SecureCo will continue to develop the product portfolio and you will be involved in the design and development of new products and with the opportunity to expand your role to take on ownership of additional products.

As the product SME, maintaining and building professional and technical knowledge through product related courses, conferences, meetups, workshops; reviewing professional articles, whitepapers and publications and establishing networks and focus groups.

What you will be doing

  • Understand and thought leadership in the future of the payments industry.
  • Conduct market research based on the customers' needs and desires.
  • Ensure the Payments products are repeatable, scalable and commercially viable.
  • Track and manage Feature Requests from sales, other stakeholders and customers.
  • Own the Payments product roadmap and productization of the product
  • Input from Customers and strategy (influence the roadmap – create new products, enhance existing products, maintenance aspect as well.)
  • Provide for enhancements of products as a set of requirements
  • Provide thought leadership and influence on products, making sure that they can teach the business about the products and why SecureCo’s solution is the best
  • Support the development of knowledge in the team, and Product marketing for their product family.
  • Define the new features, what it delivers, the value. proposition, the requirements to be designed and delivered
  • Ensure all products have the right documentation, products and processes, that these are up to date, fit for purpose and accessible.
  • Obtain product market share by working with sales function to contribute to Go-To-Market planning.
  • Assess product market data and market competition
  • Lead the Introduction and launch of new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, and across the business.
  • Provide source data for product communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product forecasts and analysis, answering questions and requests.
  • Responsible for the Financial and Commercial Management in their product family

What skills and experience will you bring

  • Relevant University Degree, preferably Telecommunications / Networking / IT / relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing technical products and or projects in Telecommunications /Cloud Software Vendor/ System Integrator.
  • Working with and creating products to enable third parties.
  • Writing Proposals and Sales Collateral.
  • Market analysis and product documentation creation to take the product to market.
  • Experience designing, building and launching Payment’s products.
  • Experience directing User Interface design and Customer Experience design.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills across the business.
  • Demonstrable experience leading workshops.
  • Interest in Cloud collaboration and communications platforms. and the desire to learn and grow new skills.


  • Understanding of Contact Centre Solutions
  • Interest in Software Development.
  • Understanding of the Australian Telecommunications industry.
